Left Fire Grate Holes

Additional holes on the left hand fire grate has a number of benefits. Check out the video below.

Hopper Finger Guard

The finger guard can be temporarily removed (with grill unplugged from power) to make cleaning out wood pellets easier.

The finger guard is a safety device that must be installed in all wood pellets smokers that are sold into the Australian market.

If removed long term, do so at your own risk and be aware of the following:

  • The mounting holes in the hopper must not be left open as water could get in, wetting the wood pellets. The existing screws are M4 size, so suitable size nuts could be fitted on the inside to secure in place.
  • With the guard removed the auger in the bottom is exposed and could be dangerous if hands are placed inside while it is operating.
