Firing Up
- Shut the grill lid.
- With the grill powered on, press MENU, rotate to PRO MODES, press control knob select.
- Rotate to Hotplate Cooking and press control knob to select.
- Set temperature:
- LOW is suitable if the lid is left shut most of the time (less heat loss).
- MED/HIGH if the lid will be kept open a lot while cooking (more heat loss). Must still start with lid shut until up to temperature!
- With the LID SHUT, wait around 10min for the grill to heat up.
- The hotplate temperature will be 20-40℃ hotter than the grill’s displayed temperature, so once grill displays around 160℃ / 320℉ start testing the hotplate temperature with water spray for beading (see cooking section below).
Shutting Down
- Once finished cooking, safely shut the grill down by pressing and holding the POWER button for 2 seconds, then selecting YES.
- The Hotplate will stay hot for more than an hour, so take care when removing from the grill, and wear heat proof gloves.
