Firing Up

  • Shut the grill lid.
  • With the grill powered on, press MENU, rotate to PRO MODES, press control knob select.
  • Rotate to Hotplate Cooking and press control knob to select.
  • Set temperature:
    • LOW is suitable if the lid is left shut most of the time (less heat loss).
    • MED/HIGH if the lid will be kept open a lot while cooking (more heat loss). Must still start with lid shut until up to temperature!
  • With the LID SHUT, wait around 10min for the grill to heat up.
  • The hotplate temperature will be 20-40℃ hotter than the grill’s displayed temperature, so once grill displays around 160℃ / 320℉ start testing the hotplate temperature with water spray for beading (see cooking section below).

Do NOT heat up the grill with the lid open. The hotplate can warp due to big temperature difference between the front and rear. Heat up with lid shut!

Shutting Down

  • Once finished cooking, safely shut the grill down by pressing and holding the POWER button for 2 seconds, then selecting YES.
  • The Hotplate will stay hot for more than an hour, so take care when removing from the grill, and wear heat proof gloves.
