If the grill power cuts out mid cook or trips the house power box there may be an issue with the electronic components in the grill. Use this guide to help identify the cause.
Heating Element
The heating element is a possible cause of power tripping especially if it occurs mid cook and using one of the following modes:
- Auto or Wood Fire Rotisserie at high temperatures using Medium or High smoke
- Hot Plate
- Pizza Oven
To check if this is the cause, disable the heating element in the Accessories settings by setting Heating Element to NO. Fire the grill up again in the same (or one of the above modes) and monitor operation. If no tripping occurs then a new heating element may be required.

If power is still tripping please contact us.
Pellet Ignitor
The pellet ignitor operates for the first 2 to 3 minutes when firing up the grill, then again if the temperature drops below the target during a low temperature cook.
If power trips during the first few minutes of firing up it is very likely that the pellet ignitor is the cause.
Ignitor Test
Test the operation of the ignitor and see if it trips the power or FAILS the test. If it fails the test it means that it is dead and no longer using power and very likely was the cause of a power tripping.

The ignitor may pass the test but still cause a power trip when operating for longer periods. By disabling the ignitor and manually firing up the grill, this can be confirmed. If the grill runs normally without the power tripping it confirms the ignitor is fault and needs to be replaced.
